Jumping on the Brett Favre Bandwagon

Chances are your favorite NFL team isn’t playing anymore. Instead of sitting around waiting until the draft, do what I did – jump on the Brett Favre bandwagon. Imagine how amazing it would be if Favre and the Green Bay Packers play against the undefeated New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. And win.
That would be the ultimate sports story. It’d be the biggest story in the history of the NFL.
Once upon a time, Favre was a player who the media tried to cram down our throats. Everyone gushed about how great he was and how tough he was. But then a funny thing happened as Favre grew older – the media turned on him. In fact, almost every football fan was hoping Favre would retire to protect his legacy. Everyone said he was embarrassing himself by throwing interceptions by the dozens.
Then this magical year happened for the Packers. Their young defensive players matured and now Green Bay has one of the best defenses in the league. On offense, the Packers have Favre and a bunch of underdogs. Ryan Grant? He entered the year as an afterthought at running back. Donald Driver? Greg Jennings? James Jones? These wide receivers are far from superstars.
However, the true story on offense was Favre. The 38-year-old quarterback who everyone had begged to retire had one of the better seasons of his career. He threw for 4,155 yards, the most yards since 1998.
After falling behind the Seattle Seahawks 14-0 this weekend, it looked like Favre’s magical ride could be over. But the boys of destiny stormed back and toppled the Seahawks 42-20.
The Packers are a win over the New York Giants at Lambeau Field away from a Super Bowl berth, where they will undoubtedly take on the undefeated Patriots. Now is the time to forget your allegiances and jump on the Favre bandwagon. A sports story of this magnitude only comes along once in a lifetime. Don’t miss out.
